How We Choose Our Cleaning Products
As a natural cleaning company, we only use products that are toxin-free and sustainable. But with so many cleaning products marketed as "natural" on the market today, it can be hard to choose.
That's why we've developed a 3-step criteria for choosing the products we use. Each potential cleaning product is vetted through this process to ensure that we're using nothing but the very best in your home.
Our 3-Step Criteria
Every product we use must meet these core standards in order for us to even consider it as an option in our cleaning caddies:
1. Natural
It goes without saying that every cleaning product we use must fall into the catagory of natural.
But what does this mean? At NaturePure Cleaning Co., the cleaning products we use must be made with a minimum of 98% naturally derived ingredients. No exceptions.
However, our preference always goes to products that are made with ingredients of 100% natural origin. This means products that use pure plant ingredients that are as unrefined and close to nature as possible.
2. Toxin-free
Toxin-free is defined by The ToxicFree Foundation as a product that ‘has been created without the use of any potentially toxic, carcinogenic, or poisonous ingredients that could be questionable in safety.’
We adhere to this definition when vetting cleaning products because it perfectly encapsulates our commitment to using products that are safe and effective.
3. Sustainable
At NaturePure Cleaning Co., sustainability is a huge driving force behind alot of the choices we make. Products that are refillable, reusable, and biodegradable always get precedence over products that are not.
To us, human health and the health of the planet are not two mutually exlusive things. If a product is harming the earth, chances are it's harming you too. We often ask ourselves:
What happens at the end of this products life?
Will is degrade/compost?
Or will it be around for the next 100 years or more?
If the answer is yes to that last question, we'll opt for a better alternative whenever and wherever we can.
